
The search is on for a ferry operator to serve the Isle of Man in the long-term.
Infrastructure minister Phil Gawne has invited expressions of interest from companies able to provide passenger and roll-on, roll-off ferry freight services.
A substantial list of requirements will have to be met, ranging from capacity and service levels to local employment.
Prospective operators will also have to demonstrate plans to increase passenger numbers.
The government's user agreement with the Steam Packet Company runs out in 2020, although there is an option to extend it by six years.
