Silverdale Glen owners looking for additional revenue streams
Planning permission is being sought for a local business to change part of the café into tourist accommodation at Silverdale Glen.
The owners of Trail Lodge want to develop two new units in the 'underutilised' space and says the café would be reduced by 12 seats.
It plans to offset the loss by installing 18 outdoor seats and 'upgrade' the furniture, fixtures and fittings as part of improvement works.
The company says increases in rent, gas, electric and food means it's had to look at an 'additional revenue stream'.
