Appointees reminded to keep records

Social Security Division to conduct audits

Those who collect benefits and state pensions on behalf of others are being reminded to keep a proper account of their records.

Treasury's Social Security Division says it will be conducting audits to catch people abusing the system.

It suggests setting up a separate bank account or spending journal.

Appointees must make sure all monies collected solely benefit the person they are acting for.
