Leading speakers meet at Manx Museum
The Island is now in a better place to appreciate its architectural heritage and to bring forward innovative building designs - that's according to Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.
He's praised all those involved in the Isle of Architecture initiative and the work of the Building Conservation Forum for encouraging a change in attitude in the field.
Speakers from some of the UK's leading architectural studios gathered recently at the Manx Museum for a symposium on the sustainable re-use of historic buildings.
Mr Thomas told Manx Radio new approaches to the built environment are a positive for the Island:
Plea to Manx parents to check meningitis vaccination status
Bus dispute ‘a considerable way apart’ as talks continue, says infrastructure minister
Noble's bed capacity exceeding industry-recognised 'safe levels'
Government monitoring Middle East conflict with “great concern”, says chief minister
