Army captain stops at Isle of Man on beeline challenge across Britain

An Army captain who broke his neck playing rugby just a few  years ago has stopped at the Isle of Man on a fundraising challenge taking him from Land's End to John O'Groats.

Thirty-six-year-old Capt George Bromley started on a 745 mile beeline journey from Wales to Scotland on a solo kayaking trip - but has been forced to take some routes on foot.

He's raising money for five charities - Rugby for Heroes, Help for Heroes, the Royal British Legion, the SSAFA and Blesma.

He's catching a sailing in the early hours of tomorrow morning (4 May), with a deadline of 20 May, but he told Lewis Foster he'll certainly be back:
