22-year-old awarded costs
A Castletown man accused of grabbing his girlfriend by the throat has seen the charge against him dropped.
Twenty-two-year-old Aaron Paul Field, of Derby View, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He was accused of assaulting her on 31 August but prosecution advocate Rachael Braidwood told the court his alleged victim had retracted her statement.
The charge was marked as dismissed and the bench awarded costs to Mr Field.
