The Peel man who was the victim of an assault in Douglas in the run-up to Christmas is being flown home to the Island today (8 January).
Thirty-three-year-old Darryl McGeowan was airlifted to Walton Neurological Hospital in Liverpool after the incident in Walpole Avenue in the early hours of 15 December.
He has been treated at the specialist hospital in Merseyside for injuries including a fractured skull.
His plight sparked a major effort in the west of the Island to raise funds for the McGeowan family and just before new year after waking from a ten-day coma, Darryl posted a message on Facebook thanking all those who had supported him.
