Attack at party caught on Snapchat

15-year-old to appear in juvenile court

A court's heard Snapchat footage shows a 15-year-old boy from Douglas taking part in an attack on a partygoer.

The boy, who's too young to be identified, appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.

He's facing charges of wounding, possessing cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy with intent to supply and possessing cocaine and cannabis on 1 May.

He's also said to have had £400 cash which prosecutors claim was earned illegally.

Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon told the hearing the boy, and two friends, turned up at a party in Mona Drive in Douglas on January 2 after its organiser called them to say another man had arrived.

Once inside they made straight for the man, knocking him off a chair and punching and kicking him, as partygoers watched in horror.

The court heard footage of the incident was later found on social media.

Mrs Hughes remanded him into secure accommodation and he'll next appear before a juvenile court.
