Phil Corkill to stand in September
Ayre and Michael now has eight candidates standing there in September's General Election.
Phil Corkill is a builder and previously stood for the constituency in 2021.
If elected, he says his focus would be building resilience in the Island's communities and rebuilding public trust.
Phil says: "I stood in the last general election almost five years ago, and listened to our communities voice their concerns.
"In the time since then, disappointingly very little has changed."
Also standing in Ayre and Michael are Julia Bell, Stephen Broad, Alfred Cannan, Steve Curphey, Tim Johnston, Mary Phillips and Paul Weatherall.
The General Election is taking place on Thursday 24 September.
