CRADLE has supplied over 16,000 'comfort bags' in the UK

A baby loss support charity is set to offer its services to the Isle of Man from this week.

CRADLE which has partnered with over 80 hospitals across the UK and has supplied over 16,000 'comfort bags' is having a launch event at Nobles Hospital this Friday (11 September).

These packs include a support letter, links to the charities services and toiletries.

Around one in four people will experience baby loss according to CRADLE.

This can happen during pregnancy or shortly afterwards due to miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, or termination for medical reasons.

Former BBC North West weather presenter and charity ambassador, Kay Crewdson explains why CRADLE is coming to the Island:

The official launch of the service will take place at Nobles on Friday morning.
