Chief minister's comments picked up on
A backbench MHK has defended members’ rights to question government ministers on plans for parking and a rise in the sewerage charge.
Last week, Chief Minister Allan Bell called on politicians not to lose sight of the Island’s priorities.
He said he was ‘exasperated’ that so much time was spent in Tynwald debating those issues, while legislation aimed at protecting the Island’s state pension was passed with little discussion.
However, South Douglas member Bill Malarkey says he takes umbrage with some of Mr Bell’s comments.
