Salvation Army expecting to help more than 450 youngsters
People on the Isle of Man are being urged to ‘Be a Star!’ this Christmas and consider picking up an extra present for a child in need.
The Salvation Army’s festive toy appeal closes on Saturday (30 November).
Each year the charity collects new gifts for children up the age of 16 who might not otherwise receive anything.
There are a number of collection points around the Island including the Isle of Man Bank and the Entertainer.
You can also drop gifts off at Noble’s Hospital, Ramsey Cottage Hospital and the Southern and Western Wellbeing Centres.
Captain Rachael Nieuwoudt told Manx Radio there are already 450 youngsters on their list:
In 2023 the donations collected supported 499 children with gifts for Christmas.
