He remains chief minister until successor appointed
Allan Bell says it feels very strange to no longer represent the people of Ramsey, after almost 40 years of doing so.
The House of Keys was dissolved on Thursday, with the MHKs becoming candidates for next month's general election, if they are standing.
Mr Bell is not, confirming last month he would be retiring from Manx politics.
He remains chief minister until his successor is appointed, though.
Mr Bell spoke to Manx Radio yesterday, the first day of a new chapter of his life:
Vote on Castle Rushen High School funding 'very unlikely' before election
Ramsey Commissioners to host public meeting about cottage hospital
DfE provided more than £250,000 to MT to assist with below ground fibre installations
Man given suspended sentence after importing 2kg of cannabis to Island
