Vessel currently on loan to Stena Line
The Steam Packet says it will be able to ‘recall’ the Ben-my-Chree into service ‘at any point’ after loaning out the vessel to Stena Line.
The company chartered the Ben, for a minimum of 14 days, from Monday (16 December) to manage its response to the temporary closure of Holyhead Port.
It will carry out freight services between Dublin and Heysham Port and is being operated by Steam Packet staff.

The arrangement, which is compliant with the Sea Services Agreement, could be extended if it’s required.
The Arrow is operating additional freight services for the Isle of Man.
