Guilty plea from local man
An Onchan man who committed almost £40,000-worth of benefit fraud will be sentenced in March next year.
Forty-eight-year-old Dale Jason Batty, of First Avenue, appeared before Deemster Alastair Montgomerie at a court of general gaol delivery earlier today.
He admitted six counts of benefit fraud when he made an earlier appearance at a lower court.
Sentencing has been adjourned until 6 March, so reports can be prepared.
