Benefits payments being paid to bank accounts

Treasury confirms a solution has been found

Treasury has confirmed a solution has been found to the problem of benefits payments not being paid to claimants' bank accounts today, as expected.

Many people woke up this morning to find no funds had been credited to their accounts.

Post Office accounts had no issues.

Treasury says bank payments are being processed this afternoon, and they are hopeful all people affected will be reimbursed.

However, all transactions needed to be completed by 5pm and Manx Radio is awaiting a statement from treasury on progress.

Treasury Minister Alf Cannan will be speaking live on Update at 5.30pm.
