Members of Tynwald will face a bumper 53 item order paper when they convene for the final sitting before the summer recess today.

Topics range from the economy to climate change and the government's offshore energy strategy.

Early in the sitting Ministers will make a number of important statements to members.

First up will be Chief Minister, Alfred Cannan who will address members on government's economic strategy.

Then its the turn of DEFA Minister Clare Barber, who will make a statement on the offshore energy strategy.

Next up is the Chief Minister once more with a statement on Climate Change, followed by Minister for Justice and Home Affairs Jane Poole-Wilson with a Review of the harms caused by illicit drugs.

Last up it will be Mr Cannan once again, with a statement on Government's Built Environment Programme.

Other topics up for consideration include that hardy perennial - a debate on local government reform. This time it's being initiated by Douglas North member David Ashford;

Government's Childcare Strategy will be presented by Education, Sport and Culture Minister, Julie Edge, and there's a host of other matters which need to be cleared up before members can head home, pack the sun cream and head off on their holidays.
