Christmas comes to Castletown today.
An afternoon of seasonal entertainment is planned in the ancient capital before the switch-on of the town’s Christmas lights in the square at 5pm.
Manx dance group Perree Bane, the Victoria Road Primary School and Castle Rushen High School’s music groups, the Manx Operatic Society and Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band will be among those performing.
There’ll also be Christmas carols, a food market, a treasure hunt and story time in the civic centre.
The square is closed to traffic from 1pm until 6pm.
