Bikes aplenty expected on Simon Andrews Memorial Lap

Thousands have joined in previous years to support occasion

Scores of bikes are expected to be out on the TT course this morning for the Simon Andrews Memorial Lap.

The event is returning after a four-year absence and sees thousands of riders take part in a procession around the Snaefell Mountain Course.

Any donations raised from the occasion goes towards treatment for injured riders across the UK.

The road between St Ninian's and Governor's Dip will shut at 8am today with riders setting off at 10am - the stretch will then re-open no later than 11.30am.

Hundreds of residents also turn out to watch and give support to the occasion, which organiser, Terry Holmes has praised:
