New measures to tighten up elements of the Island's e-gaming legislation are set to come into force.
It's after the Gambling Legislation (Amendment) Bill, which modernises legislation underpinning employment and economic activity in the gambling sector completed its passage through Tynwald.
The Gambling Supervision Commission is currently consulting on how a new fitness and propriety standard will be assessed, along with the implementation of a new civil penalty regime.
Treasury Minister Chris Thomas told Manx Radio the key purpose is to strengthen checks on the suitability of those involved in the sector:
