Lawrie Hooper, mover of Private Members Bill, reacts to developments with Bishop's vote

It will be at least a week before Legislative Council members will be asked to vote on the third reading of the bill that could take away the Bishop's vote.

Standing Orders were not suspended to enable that final third reading to be taken yesterday (Tuesday, 4 November).

And an amendment to suspend any action until after the present Bishop's departure failed.
