The Steam Packet Company has called off two of its sailings tonight (Wednesday) and tomorrow in the face of severe gales in the Irish Sea.
The 7.45pm Douglas to Heysham trip and the return voyage at 2.15am have both been called off by the Ben-my-Chree’s master.
Meanwhile, the Department of Infrastructure is warning gale force winds and heavy rain this evening may cause some problems for motorists.
It says the rain and winds are expected to sweep the Island between around 5pm and 8pm, bringing a risk of minor localised flooding.
