Booster vaccinations could prevent substantial pressure on health and care services on the Isle of Man this winter.
Around 40,000 residents will be offered a third Covid-19 vaccine – including those aged over 50, health and care workers and people with underlying health conditions.
The JCVI has advised the rollout due to the risk of Coronavirus circulating with other respiratory viruses – including the flu – and the potential for both to peak at the same time.
