Runners line up for bra dash day two

'Braleks' in Douglas - a force to exterminate cancer

Peel and Ramsey stage fund-raising runs

Charity runners in the north and west of the Island will take to the streets to raise money for breast cancer research later (16 April).  

It's day two of the annual bra dash fund-raiser - and after scores took part in runs through Douglas and Castletown yesterday, Saturday's spotlight is on Ramsey - where dashers set off at 11am, and Peel - on the start line at 1pm. 

The bra is the symbol for Breast Cancer Now's annual community event - with men and women running in under-garments of all sizes and colours.

The event is backed by staff at Lloyds Bank, whose director Peter Reid was on hand to award prizes for the winners in Douglas on Friday.

He says the head-turning tours are a great way to ensure awareness of the disease remains high among the Manx public:
