Bride Commissioners Chair Pamela Kinrade dies

Long-serving community figure remembered for decades of service to church and local charities

The Chair of Bride Commissioners, Pamela Kinrade, has died.

Mrs Kinrade was a longstanding and active member of the northern community.

For many years, she served as secretary of the Parochial Church Council and as organist at St Bridget’s Church.

She was also instrumental in organising the Bride TT Tea, where she was affectionately known as “Pam the Jam”.

For more than 35 years, she was involved with the Andreas Root Show and became a life member of the Royal Manx Agricultural Society.

She also volunteered at Ramsey Cottage Hospital and supported numerous local charities, including Age Concern, through significant fundraising efforts.

Most recently, Mrs Kinrade served as Chair of Bride Commissioners, where she was a long-standing member. 

A by-election will be triggered, with a date to be announced in due course.

Her funeral will take place at St Bridget’s Church on 6 March at 1pm.
