Practice hoping to find new GPs
Ballasalla Medical Centre says it's hopeful to find new GPs for the practice, but admits it can't continue past six months unless support is provided.
The practice recently handed back its contract to Manx Care, and says discussions with the health body opened last week to consider the options available.
The decision was not taken lightly, it says, adding the surgery is trying hard to recruit new GPs both on and off Island.
Help is needed, it says, because it's been struggling with clinical staff following the resignation of the Senior Partner and long term sickness of the other Partner.
While the six-month time frame has been put in place, patients have been urged previously not to register with another GP just yet.
Ballasalla Medical Centre says it's 'business as usual' for the time being.
