A local environment group has carried out 46 weekend cleanups around various locations in 2013.
Beach Buddies focuses primarily on collecting rubbish from the Island's sandy shores, but has ventured inland occasionally, too.
The group, made up of volunteers, was started by Bill Dale.
He says it's amazing to see how it has grown:
