Cabinet Office gets its own gold medal!

It's received accreditation from Investors in People

The Isle of Man Government’s Cabinet Office received an award for the support and management of its staff.

It's been awarded the International Gold Standard accreditation from the Investors in People organisation.

The Office was created in 2014 to strengthen the co-ordination of key corporate functions within government and provides support for the Chief Minister, the Council of Ministers, the Minister for Policy and Reform, and the Lieutenant-Governor.

The Cabinet Office employs some 325 staff across a wide range of functions and is also responsible for the Island’s external relations and dealing with the implications of Brexit.

Chief Secretary Will Greenhow says the Cabinet Office plays a vital central role in the Isle of Man Government, managing its international relationships and leading key corporate initiatives - and its greatest asset is its employees.

He believes the IIP accreditation provides independent, expert confirmation that the Cabinet Office is effective in engaging the talents of its workforce, and adds that to have achieved the Gold award during the Olympics was a nice bonus.
