Onchan Commissioners don't want 2% rise
Onchan Commissioners say the imposition of a two per cent increase to public sector housing rents is unnecessary for its properties.
The infrastructure minister has said the rise is needed to fund future capital projects.
But the chief executive of Onchan Commissioners, Michael Morrison, says the surplus the local authority runs is sufficient to look after its tenants and its housing stock.
He says the local authority wanted a zero per cent increase, and is calling for change:
Lack of TT trade 'to blame' for retail company closure
Resident opinions wanted on social housing consultation
Liverpool sailing cancelled
