There's been a call for charities to face up to problems within their ranks.
Phil Craine from the One World Centre was speaking as a number of NGOs including Oxfam and the Jo Cox Foundation find themselves at the centre of scandals over abuse and sexual misconduct.
He's voiced concern about the potentially undermining effect on otherwise 'great organisations' because of the actions of 'a few rotten apples'.
The Manx government has called for assurances from charities in receipt of its support.
Mr Craine, who has worked alongside Oxfam in Sub-Saharan Africa, says holding the past to account could minimise the damage:
