New MHK questions clarity in process
A newly-elected MHK has called for transparency over the search for a new Attorney General.
Member for Douglas North David Ashford, will ask in Tynwald when the post will be advertised and when a permanent appointment will be made.
Mr Ashford's question will open the proceedings next Tuesday (18 Oct) and will be the first put to new Chief Minister Howard Quayle.
The role of top legal officer for the Isle of Man been vacant since former AG Steven Harding retired in the summer - John Quinn is currently acting Attorney General.
Mr Ashford believes the new government needs to be clear about the process:
