Campaigner fears King Charles would cause "constitutional crisis"

A campaigner calling for the UK to abolish the Royal Family believes Prince Charles could cause a constitutional crisis as the monarch.

Graham Smith of Republic was speaking to an audience in Douglas at the Positive Action Group's first meeting of 2020.

He wants a referendum on democratic reform, believing public support for the monarchy will fall once the Queen is no longer head of state.

Mr Smith fears the next monarch could create issues for the British government:
