Cancelled off-Island bookings 'frustrating' for accommodation firm

Business chose to focus on staycations over tourism for 2021

An accommodation firm says it's 'frustrating' to have cancelled off-Island bookings for the summer ahead of border restrictions relaxing.

This week government released a revised version of its Covid-19 exit strategy with the aim of allowing unrestricted travel between the Island and the UK by the end of June.

Island Escapes chose to focus on the staycation market after the first version of the plan indicated border measures could be in place until September.

Despite this, director John Keggin welcomes the news visitors will be able to return to the Island, and says it was vital to be prepared:
