An MHK was removed from a treasury committee looking at making savings because his plans were at odds with its aims.
That's according to Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan, who has been speaking about the decision to take Ramsey member Lawrie Hooper off the SAVE team.
Mr Hooper had voted against the Manx Budget last week, saying it was one of 'broken promises' and 'lacked vision'.
Mr Cannan says Mr Hooper position had become untenable.
