Chief minister accepts decision to sack DoI minister was 'political risk'
The chief minister says he doesn’t want to leave behind a ‘half empty administration’ that did not tackle key issues.
Alfred Cannan has responded to criticism of his decision to sack the infrastructure minister and take on the role, in the interim, himself.
He says the Department of Infrastructure needs a ‘rapid reform process’ and accepts that the decision to oust Chris Thomas from the Council of Ministers was a ‘political risk’.
But Mr Cannan says he can only look forward:
'Deterrent' sentence imposed for ketamine importer
Several sailings at risk or cancelled due to adverse weather
Glencrutchery Road to close to northbound traffic
MHK's shock over Hospice announcement
