Chair Beth Cannan says the 0.1p increase will help cover financial deficits
Castletown Commissioners will support a rate increase from the Southern Swimming Pool to enable it to carry on operating.
The pool board is asking for the maximum amount it can at 6.2p, a rise of 0.1p, to help cover deficit payments and its new schedule.
In January, the pool was threatened with closure from the Department of Education, Sport and Culture due to its financial situation.
Chair of the local authority Beth Cannan says its 'important' to keep the facility open for residents in the town.
