Crews from four stations called to blaze
Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of a property fire in the north of the Island yesterday.
Crews from Ramsey, Kirk Michael, Laxey and Douglas all attended the incident.
They were faced with a rapidly-developing fire which had taken hold on the ground floor.
The intensity of the blaze meant crews wearing breathing apparatus had to work in very demanding conditions to bring the incident under control.
All residents and their pets managed to evacuate the property moments before the flames and smoke engulfed both the ground and first floors.
There were no injuries, but the people were checked over by the ambulance service as a precaution.
