Changes for long-term unemployed on Island

There will be changes for the long-term unemployed on the Isle of Man at some point in the near future.

But Minister for Social Care, Chris Robertshaw, says we won't be following in the UK's footsteps.

At the Conservative Party Conference this week, the Chancellor George Osborne revealed he wants long-term unemployed to undertake work placements, compulsory training, or face daily visits to a job centre.

Mr Robertshaw says that whilst this won't be happening on the Island, there is still change ahead:
