Pets Aid League currently offering financial support for spaying and neutering
A charity that helps fund vet treatment for pets is warning an 'explosion' in the number of kittens on the Isle of Man could have a long-term impact on the local cat population.
Pets Aid League Isle of Man is currently offering a support scheme to cover the cost of spaying or neutering a cat.
It's open to all cat owners regardless of their financial circumstances, as well as feral cats.
Mary Sims from the organisation says allowing cats to breed uncontrolled can present risks:
Application for the spaying and neutering initiative are open until 15 December.
Once approved, owners can book their pets in for the procedure with an Isle of Man veterinary practice within six months, with Pets Aid League paying the costs directly to the practice.
To apply, you can email iompetsaidleague@gmail.com
