Controlled explosions carried out
Controlled explosions have been carried out at two Island high schools and Noble's hospital.
The operations at the hospital, Ballakermeen and Ramsey Grammar have been coordinated by the police, with the help of an Explosives and Ordnance Disposal team from the British Army.
They've been done to deal with a chemical used predominantly in school laboratories (2, 4-Dinitrophenylhydrazine), after guidance on the storage of it was updated in the British Isles.
Officers gave advance notice about the work on Friday, saying it was likely some explosions would be necessary to dispose of the material.
