Gun crime not an issue on Island says Minister
Tynwald has received the Chief Constable's Annual Report.

Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer called for a drug squad to be set up, to tackle the importation of illegal substances, and wanted police to target bigger local dealers.
South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft said she was concerned by the rise in domestic abuse and sexual offences and she wondered if there was any point in criminalising people for possession of small amounts of drugs, if they are first offenders.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran claimed gun crime in the Isle of Man was on the rise, with Manx society being at risk from those who, as he put it, have English as a second language.

Mr Watterson also reassured Mrs Beecroft the rise in sexual offences was down to an increase in the number of historical cases being brought forward.
