Chief Minister attends Brexit meeting

Howard Quayle joined by Jersey and Guernsey CMs

Chief Minister Howard Quayle has been in London for another meeting regarding the UK's withdrawal from the European Union.

It was the second of in a series of quarterly meetings between the Crown Dependencies and the UK Department for Exiting the European Union.

Mr Quayle was joined by the Chief Ministers of Jersey and Guernsey in discussions with the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the DExEu, Robin Walker and Mark Garnier MP, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department of International Trade with responsibility for Financial Services.

The ministers were updated on the UK's response to this week's ruling by the Supreme Court on the triggering of Article 50.

Mr Quayle says the Brexit decision is set to dominate the political agenda for many years to come and he believes securing the best possible outcome for the Isle of Man will require substantial effort.
