Chief minister makes statement to Keys on deferral of Commons debate

Chance for real and meaningful discussion

The chief minister made a statement in the House of Keys this morning, regarding the deferral of yesterday's debate in the House of Commons.

An amendment to the the Financial Services (Implementation of Legislation) Bill sought to force the Crown Dependencies to publish a public register of beneficial ownership.

Howard Quayle told the House that the deferral gave the Island a chance for real and meaningful discussions with the UK government.
