Cannan says priority is to support people not necessarily businesses
"We need to get out of the Covid view that government has to support everyone in all business sectors", according to the chief minister.
It's after a large number of local businesses have had to close their doors since the pandemic and the current cost of living crisis.
Alf Cannan was asked whether there should be more help available in these challenging financial times.
He told Manx Radio focusing on the priorities in the Island Plan will ultimately make the biggest difference:
Football fans urged to drink responsibly
Residents still want to see what wind farm will look like
Construction costs on the Island 18% above UK average and comparable with Outer London
Manx residents 'will probably need to pay more' if they want universal health service
