The chief executive of the Children’s Centre has resigned.
John Knight has headed the organisation for the past 14 years and says he will start a new job in the UK in March.
His decision comes as a government contract to provide services was awarded to St Christopher’s Fellowship rather than the Children’s Centre. Mike Gardner, chair of the centre’s trustees, says Mr Knight made his decision well before the recent controversy and the two events are not connected in any way.
