Children's champion report pushed back to next Tynwald sitting

Comes after disagreement following amendments

The Isle of Man Children's Champion report will be brought back to the next sitting of Tynwald.

It was put to the court today by Kerry Sharpe MLC, who outlined why it was such an important document for the future of the Island's looked after children.

Recommendations include giving people the option of staying in care until the age of 26 if they wish and that the Department of Health and Social care should report when normal respite services will resume by the end of March.

Some amendments were put forward by the DHSC Minister Lawrie Hooper, and when it came to voting Keys and LegCo didn't agree and so it was decided the issue should be brought back for a combined vote next time.
