Visits to primary and secondary schools
A high ranking education official from the Chinese London Embassy is here today and tomorrow.
He will be seeing Manx primary, secondary and further education facilities and also the Manx Parliament in action.
Minister Councillor Wang's visit comes off the back of a trip to London to celebrate the Chinese New year by Professor Ronald Barr, MLC Tim Crookall and the Education Minister, Graham Cregeen at the beginning of the year.
The Manx are anxious to keep links between China and this country strong so an invitation was extended and accepted.
Councillor Wang will visit Ballakermeen School, where he will see part of Honk, an adaptation of the Ugly Duckling and speak to students who have visited China. He will also see the Confucius Classroom.
He will then head north, to see Dhoon Primary School, after which he will go to the University College of Mann where he will see engineering facilities, and construction and arts areas.
He is staying on the Island tonight (Mon) then seeing part of question time in the House of Keys before his visit ends.
