Douglas South MHK going for new House of Keys position
A Douglas South MHK has confirmed she wants to be the next Deputy Speaker of the House of Keys.
Claire Christian says she's putting herself forward for the position.
In a post on Facebook she said she would be 'honoured' to gain experience 'managing the business of the house' whilst developing and maintaining tradition 'with a modern outlook'.
A new Deputy Speaker of the House of Keys is due to be appointed today after the outcome of the chief minister election.
