Traders in Ramsey are hoping to benefit from an early start to the Christmas run-in.
The town will be the first in the Island to turn on its Christmas lights today (Sat 16 Nov), barely halfway through November.
The festive event was held at the time last year, to give high street traders a boost in what for some is make-or-break time in the year's busiest shopping season.
The event also ties-in with the BBC's Children in Need appeal.
