CM praises Storm Doris on-call teams

Utility, emergency and DoI workers thanked

The chief minister has praised the army of workers, from the public sector, utilities and emergency services, for their efforts during Storm Doris. 

Yesterday's severe gales and heavy rain wreaked havoc around the Island, bringing down trees and power lines and casting debris on the roads.

Accidents, fallen trees and collapsed walls led to a number of road closures, and buses were diverted to avoid black spots.

Howard Quayle has offered a vote of thanks to those who dealt with the large number of emergency calls through the night and during Thursday (23 Feb) and helped get the Island moving again:
